Job Description

Exciting Opportunity to Take Your Audit Career to the Next Level!

Join our growing audit, accounting, and advisory team as a senior adviser in a post-exam qualified role. This amazing opportunity has opened up due to our expanding client base.

Who we are looking for:

Are you an audit expert looking to advance your career? This is the perfect chance for someone with significant audit experience in either a pure audit or a combined audit and accounting role. We want someone who is eager to progress and develop personally in their audit career.

What the role involves:

As part of our audit team, you'll provide exceptional service to a diverse range of corporate clients and business owners. Approximately 75% of your time will be dedicated to performing statutory audits, while the remaining time will involve preparing year-end accounts and working on ad hoc advisory projects for clients. You'll also have the exciting opportunity to support our corporate finance team with ongoing projects.

Your work will take you to various client locations around Lancashire and Greater Manchester, as well as our offices.

We offer a flexible working policy, so you'll have the opportunity to work from home as well.

Starting off, you'll build upon your existing experience by reporting to managers, directors, and partners. You'll effectively manage teams to deliver high-quality and efficient audits while developing strong client relationships as quickly as possible. From day one, you'll have direct client contact and collaborate closely with our corporate tax colleagues. You'll also be responsible for training and developing less experienced members of the audit team, as well as identifying ways to improve our quality and efficiency. As you gain more experience, you'll even have the chance to take the lead on smaller audits, reporting directly to Responsible Individuals. Your career here can progress further, with opportunities to become an Assistant Manager, Manager, and beyond.

Your development:

We believe in maximizing your potential through a range of training opportunities. These include becoming a trusted adviser, networking skills, and presentation skills – all geared towards personal effectiveness and enhancing your technical skills. We provide quarterly performance review conversations to ensure you're on track with your development. You'll also have a buddy and the opportunity to find a mentor. We encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives, giving you a voice in shaping our journey towards becoming the best North-West firm of finance professionals.

Your attributes:

In addition to relevant accountancy and/or audit experience, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Eager to play an active role in a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the team and the firm as a whole.
  • Passionate about providing outstanding client service, with a genuine interest in our clients.
  • Excellent at communicating with people at all levels.
  • Positive and resilient.
  • Quick to use initiative and thrive under pressure.
  • Motivated and highly organized.

Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to take your audit career to new heights!
