Job Description

Private Client Paraplanner

 

The purpose of the Private Client Paraplanner is to execute outstanding client service on behalf of the business practice. This involves providing direct technical support to the Managing Director and Financial Advisers and ensuring business is processed accurately and efficiently. This customer facing role also involves participating in client meetings with Private Clients where exceptional interpersonal skills are essential to ensuring a first-class client experience.

The Private Client Paraplanner is a key team member who works closely with colleagues in the professional support team, client servicing and adviser teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Undertake cash flow modelling

· Client meeting preparation including research, analytics and creation of client packs with the support of the Financial Administrator & Trainee Paraplanners

· Set agendas prior to client meetings and manage follow ups

· Liaise with third parties to ensure that business is processed in a timely manner, including St James’s Place administration centres and head office

· Responsible for new business applications including cash lump sums, regular contributions and protection, including amendments as requested

· Responsible for analysing the suitability, and ultimate processing of investment and pension replacements

· Ensuring cases submitted to Business Assurance are compiled in accordance with the Advice Framework, and meet minimum expectations for Quality of Documentation scores

· Document all client data correctly and in compliance with regulations

· Maintain current client files and transaction logs (including prospective business) in systems such as iBusiness and the Business Tracker

· Arrange meetings with existing and potential clients as required

· Attend client meetings with the relevant Financial Adviser as needed

· Liaise with clients in a professional manner

· Ad hoc activities as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

It is expected that the Paraplanner will hold one of the following as a minimum:

· Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII)

· Chartered Financial Planning preferred

· St. James’s Place Accredited Partner Paraplanner
