What you will doing

Join our team of highly skilled Administrators as a Paraplanner, where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Financial Advisers and prepare recommendations and suitability reports in line with company policy. Supported by a full team, you will be responsible for maintaining client records, gathering data, and preparing application forms. You will also play a key role in promoting our company's services in a professional and compliant manner.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

- With 5 years of paraplanning experience, you will have the ability to write two multi-pension and investment suitability reports per week, or five simple suitability or review reports per week.

- As a Paraplanner, you will lead the preparation of suitability reports for approval by the Financial Adviser, ensuring compliance with company policy. You will also assist in preparing associated documentation and work closely with the administration team to ensure everything is ready for clients to review and sign.

- Holding at least a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent, you will serve as a knowledge bank for technical queries and support clients when the adviser is unavailable.

- Alongside day-to-day paraplanning tasks, you will mentor less experienced team members as they join our firm. Your inclusive and inspiring leadership style will help them identify their development areas and achieve their career aspirations.

- Your record-keeping skills will be essential, as you will be responsible for documenting all client communications and related interactions. This information should be recorded clearly in English, in accordance with company policy.

- In identifying areas for planning and sourcing suitable solutions, you will assist in preparing tax calculations when necessary.

- While primarily focused on paraplanning, you may occasionally provide support with administrative functions such as new business processing, income matching, and organizing planning meetings on behalf of the Financial Adviser.

- You will also liaise with product providers and third parties to gather additional information for client assessments and recommendations.

- Your commitment to continuous personal development will contribute to your success in this role, as you stay updated with industry knowledge and retain supporting records for review.

Team Support/Communication:

- A strong team dynamic, with collaboration between Financial Advisors, Paraplanners, Administrators, and the wider company team, is crucial. You may be required to cover for absent colleagues and aid clients regardless of adviser availability.

Essential Education, Qualifications & Training:

- You should have a minimum of 5 years of Financial Services Paraplanning experience.

- Holding Level 4+ Financial services qualifications is necessary.

- Technical knowledge may be validated through internal assessments.

- As part of your probation, you will need to pass short compliance, money laundering, and basic knowledge tests.

Knowledge and Ability:

- You should have detailed technical knowledge and understanding of Financial Services within an IFA environment.

- Holding at least a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent is required.

- With over 5 years of Paraplanning experience, you should be able to write two multi-pension and investment suitability reports per week or five simple suitability or review reports per week.

- Other skills include completing pre-report file assessments, TVC experience, attention to detail, and a technically minded approach.

- Previous experience in producing Pension Reports, switch analysis, and cash flow forecast reports is desirable.

- You will be in regular contact with the Adviser to discuss client needs and objectives.

- Ensuring compliance standards are met and regularly updating Paraplanning report templates in line with legislative and product changes are also part of this role.

- Having case ownership from start to finish is essential.

IT Skills:

- You should be fully competent in major desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Previous experience using reporting writing software is advantageous.
