Job Description

We are looking for a manager to join our team of audit, accounting and advisory experts.

What we are looking for:

This is a great opportunity for someone who has extensive audit experience, who can manage a diverse client portfolio and lead the technical development of the team, and who is keen to advance and grow in their audit career.

Requirements:

You will be a valued adviser as part of our audit team, delivering an excellent service to a wide range of corporate clients and business owners, with about 75% of the role focused on statutory audits. The rest of the time will be spent on preparing year end accounts and providing ad hoc advisory services to clients.

Your work will be based at clients’ premises and in our offices. We have a flexible working policy and so you may also work from home occasionally.

You will have direct contact with clients from the start as well as collaborating with corporate tax colleagues. We expect that you will build a strong internal network across our whole firm, enabling you to offer expertise and a seamless experience to your clients as needed. Establishing strong client relationships as soon as possible will be crucial.

You will leverage your existing experience, reporting to directors and partners, producing high quality audit and accounts files. You will use your previous experience to ensure prompt reviews of files and to communicate effectively.

You will have experience of preparing and reviewing financial statements in line with FRS101, FRS102 and FRS102-1A, and be able to assist clients and the team with technical accounting issues.

You will work with other managers in the team, helping to run the department efficiently and identifying ways to improve quality and productivity as well as identifying training needs and delivering such training internally.

You will be commercially savvy, responsible for realistic budgets and for billing clients and collecting payments for our services.

We would ideally like you to be in charge of monitoring software updates and ensuring they are implemented properly.
